What does Matthew 6:10; 10:7,8 and Luke 9:1,2,6 are telling us? The Governmental Power of God’s Kingdom---i.e. binding and losing, casting out demons, saving the lost, healing the sick, raising the dead, comforting the broken-hearted, etc---has to be continually implemented, appearing, being made manifest, and entering into a new mode of existence through the faith of believers in the sphere of this material world; a world that since the Fall has been ruled by the cruel government of Satan and his angels.
Appearing as children of the Kingdom means that we are establishing a firewall around ourselves that makes it impossible for Satan to bring destruction against us!
In order to become effective as God's Kingdom-officers, our first duty is to establish His Rulership inside our mental and physical territories, so we can successfully destroy the enemy's strongholds and liberate ourselves from his torments, which in turn will make us effective in helping others: "Thy Kingdom be coming (Gr. entering and appearing into a new mode of existence)..." (Matthew 6:10a Literal).
Many have tried different ways, but there is only one way! If we want to abide under God's protective covering and enjoy His blessings, we must become permanent dwellers inside Heaven's Reign. Think about it! Just as nations have a Constitution that protects its citizens by bringing benefits and liberty into their lives, those who through faith enter inside God’s Kingdom-jurisdiction also fall under its protective laws and blessings: "…a shelter from wind, a refuge from storm. Like pools in a dry place, like a shadowing Rock in a wearisome place" (Isaiah 32:2 Fenton).
When we talk about "Thy Kingdom coming," and the Lord’s Will being made manifest in our lives, we are also referring to Divine conditions and propositions!
Why is there a need for prerequisites? Stop and think! Things don’t happen just by mere chance. There is a cause for every effect that takes place in the universe and once we arrive to the age of personal accountability, we begin pulling the trigger that generates these things into existence.
Quite often, we hear the following comment. If God has given the believers power to overcome the adversary, why there is so much suffering in the Body of Christ? Well, He is not going to twist your arm and force you to do things contrary to your volitional choices. Make no mistake. The Lord has placed His overruling power at our disposal, but it is our responsibility to put it in action!
Since we are equipped with a volitional choice to determine our own destiny, the Lord will not do anything until we give Him permission and the right away to enter in:
"Lo! I stand at the door and am knocking. If ever anyone should be hearing My voice and opening the door, I will also be coming in (Gr. entering in) to him and dining with him, and he with Me" (Revelation 3:20 Concordant Literal New Testament).
We are not God's puppets who dance at the beck of His call! Christ respects the right to choose and will never violate or do things contrary to our decisions. And this goes to the extent that regardless how much the Lord loves us, if we stubbornly want to keep believing Satan’s lies, He will have to give us up to our own desires even if it is to our detriment: "And He did not do many works of power there, because of their unbelief [their lack of faith in the divine mission of Jesus]" (Matthew 13:58 Amplified).
The rule of God’s Reign will not come to us if we willfully decide to embrace the lies of the devil; or if we persist to remain in a lethargic state waiting with double-mindedness for something to drop down from the skies. This will certainly keep us bound under the authority of Satan’s reign and his torments of suffering, penury, and want: "...the control and the dominion of darkness..." (Colossians 1:13 Amplified). Those who fall prisoners under the tyrannical rule of Satan's kingdom will have no choice but to experience confusion, error and disease from their taskmaster!
Once you see the handwriting on the wall things will become clear. Anyone who wants to bring forth God’s Reign in this world, will immediately be opposed by the powers of darkness in their effort to either maintain or establish their rulership over God's people. Satan will use every possible trick of deception such as confusion, disease, doubt, depression, discouragement, guilt, error, hatred, pride and circumstantial attacks against those who are attempting to rise in victory. Since the devil is always on the prowl to enforce the laws of his destructive kingdom, you might as well get ready to fight back:
"Be of sober mind, be watchful. Your adversary who is a slanderer (e.g. accuser), namely, the devil, as a roaring lion in fierce hunger is constantly walking about, always seeking someone to be devouring (e.g. to swallow up into his world of confusion, pain and unbelief). Stand unmovable against his onset, solid as a rock in your faith…" (1 Peter 5:8,9a,b Wuest).
My friend, it's time to sober up! The Spirit warns...be sober, be vigilant! If we want to live a meaningful life in the Spirit, we cannot afford to get intoxicated with Satan's lies! The enemy is continually seeking to gain inroads by sabotaging our thoughts with mental suggestion and our bodies with physical oppression. His goal is to deceive us with his lies and prevent us from manifesting the Reign of God’s Will in this universe. Satan’s agenda is either to hinder us from entering inside the covering of God’s Reign or entice us to depart from it!
As the end-times continue to approach, satanic deception and counterfeits are on the rise, preparing the stage for the incoming New World Order of antichrist.
Lured by the things of this world, the Church is falling more and more into...talking the walk, instead of...walking the talk. Glamour, greed, popularity, compromise, churches and ministries that are run like business enterprises, politics, commercialism, marketing schemes, the pride of life, celebrities and the spectacular, are slowly but surely replacing the things of the Spirit. Nowadays, even the Gifts of the Holy Ghost are beginning to be less implemented in Spirit-filled churches. While at the same time, replaced with hype, noise, politically correct sermons, stories of worldly success, sensationalism and entertainment: "And the love of the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity" (Matthew 24:12 Amplified).
Warning! A new counterfeit is beginning to show its ugly head threatening the Body of Christ---the "New Paradigm" marketing oriented church of post-modern culture. Our church services are so hyped-up with pre-planned programs that there is little or no time to stop and wait in silence for the Spirit to manifest His power (e.g. sweet singing in tongues, prophecy, and intercessory prayer for the building up of the Church and God's ultimate glory). The "show must go on" mentality prevails during our gatherings and if the service would suddenly come to a stop, and one begins to wait for the Spirit, people become uneasy and you get the general feeling everybody is thinking something has gone wrong! It's hard to believe this kind of shallow Christianity is what some people think victory is all about! Dear saints, how much longer must we wait to sound the trumpet! It's time to awake and come to our spiritual senses! Christian America is in deep need of revival!
There is no question that we still see God’s Kingdom-Will manifested through the saints who are obedient to the promptings of the Spirit. Thanks God that there still a remnant of His people who have not bow down to Satan. However, due to the so many errors that have infiltrated the Church in the last twenty years, the Body of Christ has fallen asleep and is in desperate need of spiritual awakening: "...O Lord God; lighten the eyes [of my faith to behold Your face in the pitchlike darkness], lest I sleep the sleep of death (e.g. alienation from God's blessings!)" (Psalms 13:3b,c,d Amplified).
Jesus said that it's impossible to serve two masters at the same time (Luke 6:13). Consequently, there is no middle ground. We either live under God's jurisdiction or Satan's jurisdiction! Those who abide under Heaven's jurisdiction will continue under God's protection experiencing victory and enjoying His blessings. On the other hand, departing from God's Kingdom jurisdiction will usher us inside Satan's kingdom of rationality and carnality with its negative consequences. Usually, the saints who do not know better from worse, and those who are not diligent in resisting demonic attacks, remain in the external world of the flesh, experiencing suffering and torment as well as difficulty entering inside the jurisdiction of God’s Spirit-Reign.
We must realize the following fact! The more one exits the jurisdiction of God's Reign (e.g. the Spirit-realm), the more Satan will stand at the door making it harder for us to get in.
Therefore, operating outside God’s Governmental jurisdiction leaves the saints unprotected and outside His covering, becoming susceptible to the enemy’s lies, attacks, and strongholds. Alas! There are some who in spite of being saved in spirit, have become permanent outsiders to God's reign in regards to their soul and physical body.
It’s time to stop believing Satan’s fairy tale that the saints cannot be invaded and bound with strongholds! While the real child and constituent of God’s Reign live inside the regenerate human spirit in continuous victory, the logical mind and mortal flesh still active as servants of the devil. In other words, the old-man continues to behave as a legal constituent of Satan’s kingdom---marshaled under his destructive commands. It is up to us to choose under which kingdom-jurisdiction we want to operate and subject ourselves to its governing laws, whether for our own good or detriment.
Kingdom jurisdiction speaks of a two-fold concept---legality and actuality. Let me put it this way! As God’s child, you are a true heir and legal possessor of His power, blessings and victory. However, what we posses in legality has nothing to do with what we experience in actuality! In legality, you may have millions deposited in your bank account, but until you go there and get money out of your bank account you will never posses it in actuality!
Do you understand what is being spoken here? In spite of being legal heirs and citizens of God's Reign, we will never experiece the actuality of His riches unless we take hold of it through an act of faith. By failing to act on God's Word, we can choose to become in actuality – through fear, worry and unbelief - permanent dwellers inside Satan’s cosmic kingdom, a place that operates inside the mental sphere of sensory experience: "The kingdom (e.g. the cosmic system where Satan rules) of this world..." (Revelation 11:15d ASV). When this happens, we will allow the enemy to establish his destructive reign of deception and disease inside the mental and physical territories of our being. Once we surrender in battle, we will also find ourselves living as prisoners inside Satan's concentration camp tormented by his demonic powers.
Halleluyah! The good news is that the battle has already being won from before the foundation of the world and was fulfilled through the resurrection of our Lord. Jesus is the King who lives inside his governmental-reign propelled by His authority and power. As constituents of His Heavenly Reign, the Lord has already giving us total victory over the enemy and his cohorts. Legally, they are crushed under our feet and have no power over us. Of course, this blessing is conditional and comes with strings attached! Bottom line: there is a price to pay if we want to reap the rewards of God’s Kingdom-Rule.
We must let go of the intellectual world of the flesh---including the things we hold dear to ourselves---in order to submerge inside the Spirit-Realm that surpasses all human understanding:
"Put all your hope (e.g. trust) in God, not looking to your reason for support" (Proverbs 3:5 BBE).
Rationality and the realm of the senses are the two elements used by the devil to poison the faith of the believer. If accepted, the mind of the flesh will prevent us from appearing from the sphere of God's Kingdom as more than conquerors in this world!
It’s only inside the Kingdom of God’s Spirit (as found inside the glorified inner-man) that the Word becomes comprehensible to us supplying the power to overcome the adversary.
Believing and speaking the Word of the Kingdom from the realm of the Spirit has only one purpose in mind, it allows us to appear as God's army and establish His Kingdom-Rule in this corrupted world: "For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God's sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]" (Romans 8:19 Amplified). Failure to manifest ourselves as God's conquering sons through the rhema of His Word--e.g. an utterance spoken with divine reality---will allow Satan in this world to prosecute his war against us to a victorious conclusion. Jesus warned: "While anyone is hearing the Word of the Kingdom (e.g. God’s Rulership) and does not grasp and comprehend it (e.g. in the realm of the Spirit), the evil comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart..." (Matthew 13:19 Amplified).
Glory! Jesus won the battle and has given us---through His Word---the Kingdom-power to achieve victory and overrule the works of the devil. Dear saint, you are on the winning side! As believers we have the sovereign power to trample and crush every spiritual, mental, physical and circumstantial attack the enemy will try to bring against us in this world:
"Behold, I have giving you authority (Gr. right to rule) to advance by setting foot upon snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will in any case harm you" (Luke 10:19 Wuest).
Wow. What a promise! All we have to do is simply act on God-given power, and as a result, no evil shall befall us. Put simply, if we believe Luke 10:19, no plague shall come near our dwelling, and nothing shall by any means hurt us!
As exciting as it sounds, Luke 10:19 is not going to be a rose garden experience. Don't expect Satan to play dead while allowing us to trample and walk all over him without lifting a finger to stop us! If you have been resting on easy street and wonder why things are not happening in your life, you need to wake up and adjust to the facts! Obviously, since we have "a free-will" to make decisions, our challenge consists in giving the Lord the legal right to act on our behalf. This requires making the quality decision of bringing God’s Kingdom-Rule into the areas of our soul, physical body, and circumstances where Satan claims territorial rights. Or we should rather say, our task is to bring our soul, body, and circumstances inside the jurisdiction of God’s protective Kingdom; where we can enjoy and partake of its covering and benefits. God's Kingdom is summed up in the message of His Word as inspired by Spirit: "...the Word of the Kingdom..." (Matthew 13:19a).
Those who move through God's uncompromising Word are in reality appearing in this world as true children of His Kingdom, becoming the radiance of His power, manifesting His glory through their words and actions!
Many will ask, "What’s the secret, how can we do this? There is only one way to for us to operate from inside the Word of the Kingdom! Armed with God’s irresistible power (e.g., found inside the Word), we must use our words and actions to make an appearance "as more than conquerors" on this earth directly from the realm of His Heavenly glory (e.g. God's Kingdom-glory is found inside the spirit-man!). Going to war means that the Lord will use our faith in His Word to make His Kingdom-Will to appear here on earth as it is in Heaven. When this takes place, there is going to be a confrontation and friction of battle between opposing forces.
Invading this world from the realm of God's Reign reveals that we will experience a clash with the ruling spirits indwelling the first atmospheric heaven:
"...the spirit of the age in this world system...the leader of the authority of the lowest atmosphere...the spirit that is now operating in the sons of disobedience" (Ephesians 2: 2 Wuest).
These are oppositional spirits. They are the same demons that did not want the archangel Gabriel to pass through their atmospheric abode when he came to minister unto Daniel. A fight took place for a period of twenty-one days. At the end, it was Daniel's perseverance that broke the satanic opposition allowing Gabriel to pass through.
The Book of Daniel is not just a historical event! Just as Satan opposed the angel Gabriel and the prophet Daniel, we are not an exception to the rule. The powers of the air will create opposition in an attempt to hinder God's blessings from reaching us while in the midst of trial! In order to resolve this crisis, an arm wrestle will immediately take place. The outcome of this contest determines who wins the right to maintain his territorial presence in the areas that are being contested!
We know that during a court trial, the prosecution is in charge of bringing accusations against the defendant. Sounds familiar? The soonest we make a stand for God’s Word, the devil will begin to use physical pain, suggestion, mental imagery, and circumstantial adversity in an effort to prevent us from experiencing God's Kingdom-blessings in this world. By using psychosomatic warfare, Satan will intimidate and cause us to rationalize the situation, screaming inside our minds that our belief in God’s Word does not make any sense and that we are not going to make it! In this case, the battle will never be won through the mere use of intellectual formulas, theological methodologies and religious techniques. Breakthrough will only come when we decide to act in God's supplied Kingdom-power, as we take the weapons of intercessory prayer against Satan's opposition through a positive act of faith. Once Satan's arm is broken through the force of faith, the contest will come to an end: "...and He shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, destroy them" (Deuteronomy 33:27c,d,e).
Are you beginning to understand God’s Kingdom principles? I can assure you that is not rocket science technology. This is how it works. You first draw power from the inner-man without seeking the approval of the human understanding (Prov 3:5). Then by acting fearlessly through the means of an uncompromising and persisting faith on God's Word, you keep going forward with a stubborn attitude until victory shows upon the scene!
So, what are you waiting for? Right now, speak fearlessly to the enemy and command him to depart from your life. In the midst of the crisis, begin to implement God' Kingdom-Rule by claiming victory over fear, anxiety, unbelief, guilt, depression and disease! Halleluyah! Submerge yourself inside God's Word until is not more you, but Christ who is appearing through your vocal chords an actions. This implies believing His Word in our hearts so our faith gets energized and begins to draw power from the realm of the Spirit (the sphere that bypasses the intellect). From there you must break through the hindering spirits and step out thinking the Word, envisioning the Word, speaking the Word, and generating holy passions and emotions that are in agreement with the Word: "But, from the days of John the Immenser, until even now, the Kingdom of the Heavens, is being invaded, and, invaders (e.g. through God's kind of faith), are, seizing upon it" (Matthew 11:12 Rotherham). The force of faith will push Satan out of the door that leads to the blessings of God's Kingdom, allowing us to enter in and enjoy in actuality the inheritance of His promises!
Get excited about exercising faith in God's Word: "Be possessing faith in the sphere of God’s Word (Mark 11:22 Author’s Translation).
Faith is the key that ushers us under the protective covering of Heaven's reign.
This is a good way to explain it! Through faith we overcome the opposition and enter inside the blessings of God's Reign, and through faith, we also invade this world and experientially bring His Kingdom-blessings upon the earthly scene: "And the light (e.g. the radiance of God's Life and a symbol of Divine Guidance) is constantly shining (e.g. projecting, occupying territory). And the darkness did not overwhelm it" (John 1:5 Wuest).
The action of faith makes God's Reign to mobilize His irresistible power bringing the authority of His Government upon the scene. This in turn allows us to put Satan under arrest and establish Divine governmental rule over the spirits attacking us from the mental sphere of the flesh!
Praise the Lord. Being active in God’s Kingdom implies giving up…talking the talk, while emphasizing… walking the walk! Those who forcefully resist the serpent and refuse to give up will defeat him in battle, entering into the blessings of God’s Rulership while on earth. The following scripture is not just a promise for the Messiah’s future Reign, when He will certainly come with the saints to establish His Millennium reign. It is also a reality that is being fulfilled among those who---by faith---are presently manifesting God’s kingdom in this world through the glory of His saving-Life: "When Christ, Who is our Life, appears (e.g. His Kingdom is made manifest through us), then you will also appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory" (Colossians 3:4 Amplified).
To sum up, the coming of God’s Reign and establishing His Will on earth means enjoying freedom from spiritual, mental, physical and circumstantial oppression. The Spirit is calling the Church to enter inside the Kingdom of God’s Word and remain under its jurisdiction and protection until the crisis comes to an end: "Who rests in the Highest's Retreat, reclined in the Almighty's shade (e.g. His Kingdom-covering), can say this. 'The Lord is my hope, and I trust in my God as my Fort...Whilst you have the Lord for your guard...sickness will not approach you, contagion not enter your Rest..." (Psalms 91:1,2,9a,10 Fenton).
My friend, you are a child and a legal constituent of God’s Celestial Reign enthroned in the Heavenly places with His Son (Eph 1:3). In other words, you were created in Christ Jesus to rule as a child of the King. As far as God is concern, you are above and not below, you are the head and not the tale! Why settle for defeat when you are on the winning side!! It's time for you to invade this world from the sphere of the Spirit and manifest yourself experientially an as an active child of the Kingdom.
As a citizen of Heaven you have been blessed with blessings upon blessings with the power of darkness trampled under your feet in a defeated state. You are not alone in this battle! King Jesus is inside your inner-man supplying His Governing-power for you to rule in the midst of your enemies. In the realm of the Kingdom you are like a mighty hurricane propelled by the Spirit that cannot be stopped. By faith begin to exercise authority over the works of the adversary...NOW! Blow him away with the breath of God's Word. Don’t wait any longer. Go for it, you are God's Kingdom-policeman. The victory is guarantee and already yours.
